Car Insurance Geo (Car Insurance). How can i make my 1996 nissan pick up faster? How can i make my 1996 nissan pick up faster? I have a 1996 nissan pick up and im looking to make it a little faster if possible how can I do this? Weight reduction. Take out all unnecessary items out of your truck. To go a step further, you can drain the oil out of the engine. Along with all of the other fluids. Trust me it makes a BIG difference in 0-60 times. You are going to need all the fluid in your vehicle. To start, I would tune it up with quality "platinum" spark plugs, replace the air filter with K&N filter( you can also get the cold air replacement kit), replace the engine oil with synthetic oil (10w-30), install bed cover, have CAT back system with free flow muffler (3/4" pipe all the way to the end of the tail pipe). Get bigger spark plug wires (8mm). Auto parts : Brush Guard Acura 1995 . Bucket Alfa Romeo 1996 . Buffing Ball Audi 1997 . Bug And Tar Remover BMW 1998 . Bug Shield Buick 1999 . Who should I kick out of my car? Who should I kick out of my car? Leave your opinions on the following situations that have recently happened to me and wether i acted rationally or if I should take it a steph further and just not give lifts to these people: Situation 1: I was driving to a party with friend A who had asked me politely for a lift the day before. Friend B calls and says "can you please pick me up from the train station?" I agreed and got there except one of his friends was with him and just got in my car without asking. I didn't really mind this but on the way, about 5 mins from the party, Friend B's friend goes "oh yea btw you have to stop in here to pick up my friend from the train station." I didn't even know this kid and I had to wait 20 minutes for him to get to the train station. These two guys who hadn't even asked for a lift just expected me to drive them around everywhere. Situation 2: I was driving back from a party and I had 3 guys in the car. I realised it was past 11 which is when red P platers are not permitted to have more than one passenger in the car. I said to them "ok guys im just going to drop you here down the road from the train station because its past curfew and there is a police station just up the road" and one of the boys goes really rudely "umm no you're dropping us at the train station, its raining, dont be a ^%&(". at this point i slammed the brakes on, told him to get his own car and kicked all of them out. car insurance. Should I connect the ground and then the hot wire or vice verse? Should I connect the ground and then the hot wire or vice verse? My amp stopped working so I am replacing it with another using the existing wiring as it is still in new condition. I have a capacitor that connects my battery and from there supplies power to the amp. The battery is located behind the tire and a real pain to disconnect so I am thinking I could disconnect the capacitor instead. So the question I have is when reconnecting do I connect the ground (-) first or the hot wire (+)? I can't remember and do not wish to blow all my fuses or give myself a make over! Which boat has netting in the middle, kind of like a pontoon but the side are where you sit? I think it's a sailing boat, with a motor in the back (maybe?). I remember seeing one out in the ocean, and I've been wanting one since. It was black. Looks like two canoes on the side with a large area in the middle that is a net and you can see the ocean underneath. If I can get a name or a model to research more, that would much appreciated. Geo . How to Install an Ignition Switch in a ChevroletThe ignition switch is the most vital part of the ignition system. It allows the Chevrolet to crank and it will isolate the switch as soon as the key is turned and the motor is started. The ignition switch is a five-phase switch, with a setting in five positions. The switch has a setting in the run, auxilliary, start, stop and lock position. The switch will automatically go to the start position and automatically return to the run setting when the vehicle is started. If the ignition switch fails, you won't be able to start your vehicle. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips head screwdriver Set of Torx bits Torx handle Relacement ignition switchRemoving the Old Ignition Switch Step by Step : 1 Remove the steering wheel housing. This will be held on by two screws. One will be in the front and the other will be in the back of the housing. The screws are usually Phillips heads or star-shaped heads. 2 Locate the switch behind behind the key tumbler. It will be held by a screw. 3 Remove the screw holding in the switch. The switch will work its way loose. 4 Unattach the pigtail attached to the back of the ignition switch. They should lock in with a tab that needs to be folded up so the pigtail can be slid out. 5 Remove the old switch. It will slide right out. Installing the Ignition Switch Step by Step : 1 Install the new switch. Inspect to make sure it looks like the old one. 2 Plug the wiring into the back of the switch. The wiring pigtail will lock into place. 3 Screw the switch back into position where the old one was removed. The new switch should sit in the same as the old one. 4 Place the steering column housing back around the steering wheel. Install it as you took it off. The housing is set to fit around the column and fits one way. 5 Tighten the screws on the housing. The housing should be snug. Tips & Warnings Test-start your vehicle when you replace the ignition switch. Make sure the switch was the problem. Working around electrical can be tricky. Remove the negative terminal on your battery just in case you're concerned about electrical shock.
Geo . How to Replace a 1993 Toyota T100 Ignition SwitchA bad ignition switch will make it difficult for electrical power to reach the starter solenoid on your 1993 Toyota T100, or it will cut power once the engine has started. You can easily fix the problem by replacing the ignition switch. The steps outlined here will help you remove the switch, whether your model is equipped with an air-bag system or not. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Wrench Phillips screwdriver Torx driver, if necessary Correction fluid Ratchet and socket Snap ring pliers, if necessary Steering wheel puller Step by Step : 1 Turn the ignition key to the "On" position, but don't start the engine. 2 Turn the steering wheel so that the front wheels are pointing straight ahead. 3 Turn the ignition key to the "Off" or "Lock" position. 4 Detach the ground battery cable using a wrench. 5 Wait at least 90 seconds for the system to disarm if your Toyota T100 is equipped with an air-bag system. 6 Take the upper and lower steering column covers off, using a Phillips screwdriver. 7 Remove the steering wheel center pad. Look at the back of the steering wheel for recess screws, and unscrew the pad using the Phillips screwdriver. If there are no screws, simply pull the pad off with your fingers. If your Toyota is equipped with an air-bag system, remove the Torx screw on the right side and the left side of the steering wheel. Use a Torx driver to turn each screw counterclockwise until the head of the screw catches on the screw case. Then pull the center pad out, and unplug the bag electrical connector. Place the center pad on the seat with the pad cover facing up. 8 Use correction fluid to matchmark the steering wheel hub and the steering column shaft for alignment during reinstallation. 9 Detach the steering wheel from the steering column by removing the center nut with a ratchet and socket. Step by Step : 10 Use a pair of snap ring pliers to remove the center snap ring if your Toyota is equipped with one. Step by Step : 11 Detach the steering wheel from the steering wheel column using a steering wheel puller. Step by Step : 12 Locate the left and right combination switches. Each switch has a lever. One switch controls the headlights and dimmer; the other controls the wipers and washer. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the upper and lower screw on each switch to remove the switches. Step by Step : 13 Unplug the ignition switch electrical connector. Step by Step : 14 Unscrew the single mounting bolt from the ignition switch using the Phillips screwdriver, and remove the switch from the steering column. Step by Step : 15 Place the new ignition switch into position, and tighten the single mounting bolt with the Phillips screwdriver. Step by Step : 16 Plug in the ignition switch electrical connector. Step by Step : 17 In reverse order of removal, and using the same tools as above, reinstall the left and right combination switches, the steering wheel (following the matchmarks), the center snap ring (if so equipped), the steering wheel column center nut, the steering wheel center pad and the upper and lower steering column covers. Step by Step : 18 Using the wrench, reconnect the ground battery cable. *If your owner's manual has instructions for draining the liquid from the cooling system, follow them. (This option is better than following the instructions in this section, because air is less likely to be trapped in the system after you finish the job.) If you don't have a manual or it lacks such instructions, follow these steps to flush your cooling system and change the coolant without endangering the environment: 1. Park the vehicle in a safe place, away from children and small animals. Make sure that the engine is cold, the ignition is off, and the parking brake is on. Part III: Keeping Your Car in Good Condition, System by System 2. Place a bucket that can hold at least 2 gallons under the drain valve at the bottom of the radiator. 684
